About Emily

Approach

As a registered dietitian specializing in the recovery of individuals healing from eating disorders, my practice focuses on two key areas: nutrition stabilization (ensuring consistent and adequate intake of a variety of foods) and improving interoceptive awareness (the ability to sense and understand what is happening inside your body).

This foundation allows me to support clients in reducing reliance on disruptive behaviors and patterns, restoring reliable hunger and fullness cues, and helping them feel confident in meeting their body’s nutritional needs.

Whether you're seeking support in recovering from an eating disorder, working to stabilize disordered eating patterns, or simply looking for guidance on navigating nutrition advice, I’m here to help.

I work with individuals healing from:

  • Anorexia Nervosa
  • Bulimia Nervosa
  • Binge Eating Disorder
  • Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED)
  • Avoidant-Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID)
  • Picky Eating / Lack of Food Variety
  • Chaotic Eating Patterns
  • Low Energy & Brain Fog
  • Unreliable Hunger & Fullness Cues
  • Dieting & Weight Obsession
  • Unhealthy Obsession with ‘Being Healthy’
  • Anxiety / Depression
  • Poor Body Image
  • Excessive Exercise Patterns
  • Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (RED-S)

To guide this process, I incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Dietary-Informed Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Food-Related Exposure Response and Prevention (ERP), and Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT).

I also utilize motivational interviewing and client-centered counseling techniques to help unravel and explore your experiences with food, body image, and movement.

My practice is informed by the philosophies of Intuitive Eating, Health at Every Size, and Body Image Neutrality and Appreciation—approaches that focus on holistic healing and empowerment.

a little bit more about me....

I was born & raised in Southern California. I'm a beach girl, so I am not leaving California. I enjoy bike riding, hiking, cooking, going to the beach, and spending time with family & friends. Some of my favorite foods include: French toast, vanilla ice cream, enchiladas, cucumbers, bell peppers, raspberries, and apples! I recovered from my own eating disorder and would be happy to share my story with you. I look forward to meeting you!
